I thoroughly enjoyed the meeting at Digital Labrador on the 18th. I've known Rusty Wooldridge for a couple of years now, and his presentation just confirmed what a true professional he is. He and Ric are top notch. I've had a life-long interest in photography which started when I first discovered the 1932 Rolleicord and circa 1926 Zeiss-Icon view camera that my dad brought back from WWII. I still have both, although they are just shelf items now thanks to abuse at the hands of young children (me and my brother ;)) and age. I recently got the motivation to get back into photography when I got a Kodak 3900 some years ago. Last year upgraded to a Nikon D70s. I also just bought a 1955-ish Yashica-C medium format camera that I am learning to use. Love it. For the digitals, I use Photo Explosion Deluxe to tweak jpegs, and the Nikon Picture Project software for the NEF files. It's not Photoshop, but still fun. My next move is Photoshop CS, but that will also mean a new monitor, calibrating equipment, etc. .... 8-). Personal stuff: age-55, married 32 years in July (to the same person, no less), two grown kids, live in Overland Park, work for Sprint, and I also have an aquarium management business that I operate on the side. [www.arburnaquatics.com] All the shots on the web site I took with either the Kodak 3900 or the Nikon D70s. Hey, it's a start!!

Thanks for your time - I look forward to getting together again!!
