Time for another opinion poll! The two part question: 1) do you clean your own DSLR sensor or take it to someone; 2) if you DIY, what method/equipment/brands do you use?

Kevin, I clean them myself (I had Canon clean one and it still had dust on the sensor after that) and use a couple of different items. First I use a sensor scope (magnifying glass with led lights that fits nicely over the chamber of a Nikon or Canon body) to locate the boogers, then will use a rocket blower, re-check for spots, then I use an arctic butterfly. If it's still stubborn, the sensor scope kit came with a small vacuum and also a wet solution and sterile pads. It doesn't take long (I have three DSLR's) and this gets them clean, or so it appears in the sensor scope.

Thanks for the information!! I was looking at the Arctic Butterfly. I have held off getting anything yet, as I just had my D70s cleaned, and some of the equipment recommended, such as an AC power supply, is camera-specific. I plan on upgrading soon, so I may wait.
