 Copyright question
« Result #1 on Aug 18, 2007, 2:39pm »

Artwork obviously requires a copyright release to be used in a photo for sale...but does anyone know about tattoo photography? Tattoos (flash) is drawn by an artist, so is that work considered copyrighted or can you sell photos of tattoos without release?

I'm not sure. I was thinking about leaving out on a Thursday afternoon, and driving straight thru to Gunnison, spending Friday and Saturday there, and then driving back bright and early Sunday morning.

Jim,

How long of a trip are we talking about? 3-5 days or more?

 September Trip to Crested Butte
« Result #5 on Jul 20, 2007, 8:34pm »

I had the pleasure to visit Crested Butte, CO during the Wildflower festival and one of the workshop photographers mentioned that Keebler Pass and the Ohio Creek area are some of the best spots for Aspen viewing in Colorado. He also indicated the end of September would be the best time. The Mrs said I could go back so I'm looking to see if anyone else is interested in going to Crested Butte for the turning of the Aspens. I have an Honda Van and intend to "campout" at the Rodeway Inn in Gunnison (about $70.00 per night). Let me know if interested.

Bob,
The most important thing to look at when purchasing a laptop is the processor speed. You can always upgrade memory and hard drives but not the processor. Get the fastest processor you can find or afford, 2GHz or more. You should start with a miminum of 1G memory, maybe more.

DVD burner is a must.

I would suggest you not purchase a laptop with VISTA, the new operating system. It's too early and there are lots of bugs. It's not compatable with some software. You can still purchase computers from Dell online with XP operating system.

Through my business I work with an account rep at Dell and can sometimes get a better price than the Dell online. If you decide to look at Dell, email the configuration you are looking at and I'll price it out for you.

Beth

Thanks for the information!! I was looking at the Arctic Butterfly. I have held off getting anything yet, as I just had my D70s cleaned, and some of the equipment recommended, such as an AC power supply, is camera-specific. I plan on upgrading soon, so I may wait.

Bob,

I have a Dell Inspiron 1505 with Core Duo Processors 1.73GHz, 1GB Ram, 15.4 Inch UltraSharp TrueLife Wide-screen WXGA+, 120GB 5400RPM SATA Hard and CD Burner (wish I opted for DVD burner). It seems to handle everything well. I have the latest version of Elements and my laptop has Windows Vista loaded. I have had a few glitches with software but now everything is updated and works fine. It was relatively inexpensive. $799?

Robert
